On Monday, the political department of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council held the third consultative meeting with the directors of the political departments in the executive bodies of the local leaders of the Council in the southern governorates, in the presence of Mr. Fadl Muhammad Al-Jaadi, a member of the Presidium and Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Transitional Council.

Fadl Al-Jaadi delivered a speech during the meeting, in which he expressed his happiness at being with this group of politicians, stressing the importance of the political departments in the local bodies of the Council in the southern governorates carrying out their responsibilities.

 Al-Jaadi indicated that the leadership of the Transitional Council is making great efforts to alleviate the suffering of our people, and to stand before all forces seeking to break their morale, praising the steadfastness and courage of the people of the south despite the difficult living conditions, and their deep awareness of their just national cause.

 At the end of his speech, Al-Jaadi wished success for this meeting and to come up with constructive recommendations that work to raise the political work in the various bodies of the Transitional Council.

 Mr. Ahmed Omar Hussein, Deputy Head of the Political Department, opened the meeting with a speech, at the beginning of which he welcomed all the attendees, pointing out that the aim of holding this meeting is to evaluate the work of the political departments and raise their performance in preparing plans for their activities and reports of completing their work and strengthening their role in the governorates.

 Omar pointed out that this meeting came during difficult circumstances in the south in light of a security and military war waged by the southern armed forces against terrorist groups, as well as the war of services that exhausted the southern citizen, stressing the importance of strengthening political action in the governorates in a way that contributes to thwarting all rumors that aim to undermine the just cause of the people of the south and tries to confuse the political scene in the south.

 For his part, Mr. Bassam Ahmed Abdullah, a member of the political department, delivered the speech of the political department, which emphasized the importance of thwarting and confronting all the enemies of the south who are trying to tighten the screws on our people in order to distract them from their core issue represented by restoring the fully sovereign state of the south.

 During the meeting, department managers gave an explanation of the activities and initiatives that were implemented during the past year, their work plans for the current year, as well as the difficulties and challenges facing their workflow.

 Tomorrow, the meeting will be held with the directors of the political departments, with the aim of developing a number of proposals that will contribute to raising the level of work pace during the next stage.
