The internal southern national dialogue team, headed by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, head of the team, met on Thursday in the capital, Aden, with representatives of the Southern Judges Club.
At the outset of the meeting, the dialogue team emphasized the hoped-for and important role of the Southern Judges Club in the current stage and in the stage of the desired federal and democratic southern state in order to reform and correct the conditions of the judiciary and contribute to laying the foundations and principles of transitional justice and establishing a new social contract for southerners, achieving the principle of reconciliation and tolerance and strengthening southern cohesion. .
The dialogue team stressed the importance of the vision and demands of the club in order to enhance the independence of the judiciary, maximize its role in achieving justice and the rule of law, upholding public freedoms and human rights, meeting the demands of judges and taking into account the interests of the people.
The dialogue team called for the active participation of everyone in the Southern National Dialogue, in order to launch a new phase to draw features and a roadmap for the future, and to contribute to the formulation of the Southern National Pact, and to agree on it as a charter and a new era that governs the relations of all and sets directions in the future, in a way that achieves the principles and foundations of the modern southern civil state .
After that, the team listened to the opinion of the representatives of the club about the goals, contents and mechanisms of the southern national dialogue, where the representatives of the club indicated the importance of uniting efforts in order to establish a southern national project that includes all the people of the south.
The club's representatives emphasized the necessity of advancing and reforming the judicial and military institutions through a rehabilitation program that restores the prestige of the law, the judiciary and the state, expressing their happiness at the invitation and their support for the Southern National Dialogue and its outputs.
