The Presidium of the Transitional Council stresses the seriousness of the government's work to dry up the sources of corruption in the oil sector and move the companies' headquarters to the capital, Aden

The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting, on Tuesday, headed by Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidium , Governor of the capital, Aden.
 At the beginning of its meeting, the Presidium listened to the report submitted by the Supreme Economic Committee of the Council, regarding developments in economic conditions on the national scene, calling in this context on the Partiy government to work hard to dry up the sources of corruption, preserve oil wealth and the ownership of government companies in this sector, and expedite the transfer of all its headquarters  to the capital, Aden.
 The Presidium also stood before the corruption in scholarships and external grants at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research during the past years, and the popular reaction that occurred was the closure of the ministry's headquarters.
It affirmed its rejection of all illegal reactions, and at the same time denounced the government’s failure to take any measures to hold the corrupt and those responsible for such actions that prepare for the occurrence of such acts, stressing the need to deal seriously with holding the corrupt accountable in the ministry and other facilities to avoid reactions resulting from the inaction of the government .
 The Presidium called on the Government leadership to oblige the Minister of Interior to carry out his work at the Ministry’s headquarters in the capital, Aden, and to review it, to issue permits for security companies based in Sana’a to work from the capital, Aden, in light of the decisions issued by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to transfer the headquarters of all companies and agencies to the capital, Aden .
It also discussed the report of the Decision Making Support Center and developments in the general situation, foremost of which is the situation in Al-Halemeen district in Lahj governorate, and in this regard approved the formation of a committee to investigate the circumstances of the events that the district has recently witnessed, and called on those concerned to calm down and quickly complete the committee’s tasks and take legal measures in light of the results that will be concluded.  
 In its meeting, the Presidium discussed the main directions of the Council's work plan for the year 2023 , in addition to a number of issues related to the work of the Council's bodies, and took the necessary measures in this regard.
