The Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, met in his office, on Sunday, the Preparatory Committee for the Conference of Southern Journalists and Media Professionals.

 Lamlas listened, from Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference, to a full explanation of the mechanisms and the ongoing arrangements for holding the Conference of Southern Journalists and Media Professionals, starting from the idea through a series of the procedures and thr discussions that had took place, the founding meeting, the election of the Preparatory Committee, and the holding of consultative meetings in the southern governorates, down to today's meeting, and the action plan of the future stage.

 The meeting stressed the importance of continuing work to hold the consultative meeting for journalists and media professionals in the capital, Aden, and the culmination of efforts by holding the first conference for southern journalists and media professionals that aims to create a union entity to include southern journalists and media professionals and unify the southern media ranks under one roof.
