The Supreme Committee of the Southern Women held, on Tuesday, in the capital, Aden, a joint meeting with the leadership of the southern women's components, headed by Dr. Najwa Fadl, Advisor to President Al-Zubaidi for Women's Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Southern Women.
The meeting discussed the suspicious call to hold a women's summit in Aden, which carries in its agenda goals that do not serve the cause and aspirations of the people of the south.
In their meeting, the women's leaders affirmed their categorical refusal to hold any women's activities in the capital, Aden, and the governorates of the south that contradict the goals and the great sacrifices made by the people of the south in order to liberate and restore their state.
The meeting stressed that the issues of southern women and their affairs cannot be separated from the national and fateful political issues, stressing the strong rejection of the southern feminist components of everything that contradicts the goals of the people of the south.
The meeting discussed the implications of insisting on holding the women's summit in Aden, in addition to a number of issues related to women, and enhancing their participation in political decision-making and their representation in international forums.
