Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Acting in charge of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, met today with the leadership and members of the Revolutionary Movement Council in Abyan Governorate.

The meeting discussed the latest political, economic, service and development situations in the southern arena, and Abyan governorate in particular, and the need to unify the southern ranks and work together to defend the homeland, its soil, pride and dignity.

During the meeting, Acting in charge of the President stressed the importance of concerted efforts and strengthening national cohesion to achieve the aspirations of the people of the south and work in the spirit of one team, noting that the council is open to all political spectrums and components, stressing the importance of convergence of views between all for everything that serves the people of the south.

During the meeting, Major General Bin Brik was briefed on the activities and programs of the Revolutionary Movement Council in Abyan Governorate, especially with regard to the national aspect in serving the cause of the people of the south.

The meeting also discussed service aspects and needs in enhancing the service and security aspect, ways to improve the service and security aspect, and other issues related to the lives of citizens in Abyan Governorate.
