On Saturday, The Internal National Dialogue team met with the local authority, political components, a number of social, military and security figures and sheikhs in the districts of Ahwar and Al-Mahfad in Abyan governorate.

Mr. Abd al-Salam Qassem Massad, Deputy Head of the Internal Southern National Dialogue Team, delivered a speech at the beginning of the meeting, conveying to the attendees the greetings of President Commander Aidarous al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council,  welcoming all those present.

The head of the dialogue team praised the political and historical role played by the people of Abyan in various stages, pointing to the importance of Abyan in the country of the south, which will have a great importance in building the South's future, and reviewing the tasks and objectives of the dialogue team and the meetings that took place at home and abroad with various components and southern personalities, noting that dialogue establishes the building of a national culture that presents the southerners appropriately.

Massad explained, in his speech to the attendees, the basic issues of dialogue represented by the Southern National Pact and the restoration of states and the shape of their system, adding: "The National Pact will lay the foundations for restoring the southern state, the right of partnership, and ensuring the fair representation of each governorate in the joints of power without exception, and through it standards will be set to build the army and security on a national basis.

Brigadier General Nasser Muhammad Ahmed, head of the executive body of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, in Ahwar district, had spoken in which he welcomed the National Dialogue Team and all the participants, and he praised the great role played by the Southern National Dialogue Team to unite the ranks.

A number of speeches were delivered by representatives of the local authority, political components, security and social figures, and papers were presented in various service, security and health aspects, the role of women, and the necessary needs of the region.

The dialogue team listened to a number of visions and proposals presented on the basic issues of the dialogue, reviewing a number of multiple issues, what the needs of the districts of Ahwar and Al-Mahfad are and what their people suffer from, and discussed a number of topics that were raised in the meeting from the various elites, components and personalities involved, who in turn expressed their satisfaction from the great effort to strengthen the unity of the southern rank .
