SOS" Foundation for Development finishes the training of community committees on prevention of gender-based violence issues

SOS Foundation for Development has finished the training of community committees on (prevention and response to issues of gender-based violence) with the attendance of (24) participants in the training.
 This comes with the support of the Dutch Embassy within the Women, Security and Peace project, which aims to the contribution of women to peace and security and influence on humanitarian and peace-building processes.
Where the Foundation seeks, through its projects and programs, to develop and build the capabilities and skills of society to improve their lives and preserve their human dignity through sustainable development programs in a stimulating environment in accordance with international best practices in partnership with the development trio (government, business, and civil society).
The training aims to increase the awareness of the community committees about what is gender-based violence, and its effects on individuals and communities. Mr. Ali Al-Nimri, Director of the General Administration of Community Committees, praised the efforts of the SOS Foundation for Development in increasing awareness of the community committees in issues of gender-based violence and its responding mechanism to apply it in the next stages of the work of the community committees, where the perspective of issues of gender-based violence is taken into consideration.
It is worth mentioning that the (SOS) Foundation for Development has carried out a number of activities and events that were implemented within the Women, Security and Peace project .
