The internal Southern National Dialogue team met on Wednesday in the capital Aden, chaired by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, the head of the team, with the leadership of the Southern National Coalition and independent southern cadres.
The team reviewed the previous meetings that were held since its formation, the general starting points of dialogue in order to reach consensus on the basic issues and objectives in the southern public interest, and agreeing on the southern national Pact to confront the current political, economic and social challenges facing the south.
The Southern National Dialogue Team stressed that the responsibility for the advancement of the homeland is not exclusive to anyone and that no southern component can carry out such a large national task alone, when it is essentially the responsibility of all.
For her part, Ms. Kawthar Shazly, Vice Head of the Coalition, appreciated the opportunity to sit at the same table, stressing that dialogue is the beginning and the end even if visions differ to serve the cause of the South.
Shazly and the presence with her stressed the importance of the dialogue containing the element of transparency and openness, and that many imbalances be addressed at the dialogue table.
