The Transitional Council's Foreign Affairs holds its periodic meeting headed by Al-Ghaithi

On Sunday, October 30, the head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Muhammad Al-Ghaithi, chaired, via video conference, the periodic meeting of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of the Deputy Head of the Department, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi.
During the meeting, Al-Ghaithi conveyed the greetings of President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, referring to his directives to develop mechanisms for the external political work of the Southern Transitional Council, and to redouble diplomatic efforts to keep pace with developments at the local and external levels.
In the meeting, which was attended by a team of advisors, heads of foreign departments and their officials, the foreign departments representatives and directors of their offices abroad, Al-Ghaithi reviewed the latest developments in our country and the region at all political, military, security and economic levels, Stressing that the council is proceeding according to deliberate steps to ensure the achievement of the goals for which it was established, pointing to the challenges that the Council has gone through and successfully overcome, and to the existing challenges and ways to work to confront and solve them.
Al-Ghaithi touched on the international efforts led by the UN envoy to reach an agreement on the extension and expansion of the truce, he also gave a brief explanation about the current opportunities for peace and the future of the comprehensive political process, and the position of the Southern Transitional Council on various related issues, stressing the support of the Transitional Council for a comprehensive peace that guarantees the right of southerners to determining and deciding their political future and achieving their legitimate aspirations of restoring their identity and their state.
The Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs spoke at the meeting about the political stages and twists that the Southern Transitional Council has gone through since the signing of the Riyadh Agreement, leading to the Riyadh consultations sponsored by the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, from which a new political leadership emerged, in which the Transitional Council participates as a major party according to the announcement of the power transfer .
The meeting also discussed the development of the strategic plan of the General Department of Foreign Affairs to face the current challenges and developments, keep pace with developments and rapid changes at the regional and international levels, and the importance of harnessing expertise and energies to embody a unique model of institutional work, and work to expand the map of the external representation of the Southern Transitional Council.
Al-Ghaithi praised the efforts were undertaken by everyone, in particular the deputy head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, to develop the administrative and diplomatic work and raise the capabilities of the department's employees, and the achievement reports submitted to him by the team of consultants and representatives of the department abroad, and heads of departments.
