The Internal Southern National Dialogue Team, headed by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, the team leader, met on Thursday, October 27, in the capital, Aden, led by the Southern Popular Commission (the Southern National Coalition), where the team welcomed the meeting with the leaders and cadres of the Southern Popular Commission, noting the appreciation of the Southern Transitional Council for its struggles and its striving role as part of the Southern National Movement.
The team stressed the importance of benefiting from the experiences of the past and other peoples, and working to find points of convergence and a joint formulation of the Southern National Pact based on its principles of true partnership in action and southern political decision, to confront the challenges that the south is going through, which require everyone to accept dialogue and consensus.
For his part, Dr. Omar Al-Saqqaf, head of the commission, reviewed previous experiences during the dialogue stages that the southern political components went through, and the importance of benefiting from them, expressing his hope that the dialogue would not exclude anyone.
Al-Saqqaf indicated that the Southern Popular Commission has expressed on several occasions its support for the leader, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, and for the Southern Transitional Council as a political entity that bears the cause of the south.
