The Administrative Committee of the Preparatory Committee for the First Conference of Southern Journalists and Media People held a meeting today, Monday, in the capital, Aden, headed by Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference.

The meeting discussed the level of achievement in the preparatory committee’s plan during the previous period, including holding consultative meetings in each of the governorates of Socotra, Hadhramout, Al-Dhale, Al-Mahra and Lahj, praising the results of these meetings in choosing the representatives of these governorates from journalists and media people .

The Administrative Committee praised the spirit of cohesion and consensus among southern journalists and media people and their contribution to the success of the consultative meetings in a number of southern governorates, appreciating their interaction with the major media event represented by the holding of the first conference for southern journalists and media people .

 The meeting also, stood before the ongoing preparations to complete the holding of consultative meetings in each of the governorates of Abyan, Shabwa and the capital, Aden, stressing the importance of the participation of all southern journalists and media people in these consultative meetings and the selection of their delegates to the first conference to be held soon in the capital, Aden.

The meeting reviewed the remainder of the work plan of the Preparatory Committee, and approved the organization of a number of events and activities, on the way to the conference, in addition to discussing topics related to the preparation of documents and logistical materials and others.
